Lullabub

I admit to being a bit overzealous about the whole vibrating thing when my baby was born - you know, the bouncy seats that vibrate, the Graco pack-n-play that has the vibrating bassinet. Why? Because most of the time, it worked to calm her down. So when my baby outgrew the gear, I had to not only wean her from constant jiggly motions, but also myself from wanting to hit a non-existent vibrating button on her crib and anything else she happened to be sitting/laying on when she got fussy or wouldn't sleep.
Good thing I didn't know about the Lullabub back then or else she may still be relying on the vibrating motions to put her to sleep. You simply put each of the 4 modules under the legs of the crib and the Lullabub will gently rock the crib unassisted. It comes with a remote, a timer and 4 presets. Sounds intriguing, but the Lullabub claims itself to be a sort of miracle gadget for over-tired parents. It claims to make you a happier family. It claims to reduce arguments amongst parents. Oh and here's the kicker: it claims to make a "happier hubby, to happier workplace - happier children, in a way that they are not listening to their parents argue over who’s attending to the baby in the middle of the night". What?? (Maybe those parents need the Wheel of Responsibility). Seriously, aside from the 1950s family reference (who says that only "hubbies" go to work), vibrating your baby is no miracle worker. Sure it helped my baby calm down at times, but it certainly didn't help her sleep through the night!
