Respisense portable breathing monitor

respisense.jpg
Taking the portable baby sound monitor a step futher, the Respisense actually monitor's your baby's breathing. Respisense monitors the rhythms of breathing, and if no movement is detected for 15 seconds, a gentle stimulator is activated to encourage your baby to start breathing. If breathing doesn't re-start within 5 seconds, the Respisense will alert you with sound and light alarms. It's entirely wireless and tiny, so it can be used anywhere your baby sleeps without the usual potentially dangerous cords involved with other under-mattress respiration monitors.

Respisense is due to launch internationally in late 2005 (probably safe to say it will be early 2006 instead), and pre-orders are being taken now for $115 from babysleepshop.
