Cardboard dollhouse furniture

cardboard_furniture.jpg

These mini replicas of museum-worthy designer furniture is actually made of cardboard and only cost a mere $17.50 for 13 pieces. Not bad for doll house furniture, especially if your kids tend to play with a toy for like, 10 seconds before moving on to the next. Plus they can customize the furniture with their own colors and decorative preferences. And if they like it so much, you can get the child-sized (and adult-sized too) versions of the cardboard chair too.

I am teaching 7th graders a hands on lesson of creating their own miniature bedroom in a standard size ditto paper lidded box with lid. I saw your set on line. I am very intrigued about its constructions, and would it help my class to understand the concept of making their own furniture at 1" = 1' scale. We are just beginning our lesson by doing the square footage of the floor in 1" squares. Then we drew the footprint in this space as to where the furniture will set on the floor. Using stiff paper in 1" grid form we will create a pattern for our furniture. Then trace it onto cardboard.

Could you please send me a sample of your furniture so the students can develop a sense of design, form, structure, and shape, scoring and creativity.

Looking forward to your reply.
