Dream Mover

We wrote about a few products that auto-vibrated - the Lullabub, which turns your crib into a vibrating machine, and the Nurse N' Sleep Vibrating Nursing Pillow, to gently vibrate your baby during a feed. Here's another new gadget on the market that turns just about any piece of gear into a self rocking wonder. The Dream Mover will automatically rock strollers, car seats, bassinets and changing pads with a gentle back and forth motion while emitting a soothing, shooshing sound that emulates the womb environment. Just place the Dream Mover underneath your gear and you've got an automatic babysitter to free you up so you can cook a meal, take a shower... or go to the bathroom without baby in tow!

I think this might be great for colicky babies who need that constant motion and white noise to feel comforted. My baby wasn't colicky but she went through a period of 2-3 weeks in the early months where she just wasn't handling being out of the womb very well and just wanted to be rocked. Even a little 9 pound baby gets hard on the arms and shoulders after being held ALL DAY long (and I became an expert at going to the bathroom with one hand, like many moms I'm sure).
