Elmar Flototto animal seats

I really like the simple graphic lines of these animal chairs from Studio Vertijet. They're made from poly-ether foam and PU varnished (sounds environmentally healthy and good for your kids, huh?). But I can't really imagine any child kickin' back and sitting in the chairs for very long. They're not rocking toys, so what would they do, perched up there like that for any amount of time? Maybe that's not an issue since my toddler can hardly sit or stand still for more than 5 minutes unless she's eating. Still, at 239 euros (ouch!) seems like it would just end up sitting pretty in a kid's room.

There's something like this in the Playspace at the Children's Museum in Boston. There're covered foam blocks shaped like stylized ducks (with eyes, unlike the ones here).
My almost-1-year-old daughter definitely likes them — she enjoys knocking them down onto their sides and then sitting on them.
Pretty good game for the museum, but I'm not sure it'd keep up at home.
