Molo soft wall

How many of you in NYC (or elsewhere for that matter) live in a 1 bedroom apartment with a baby? Or raise your hand if you know at least one family with this living arrangement. Yeah, it's not ideal, but real estate is tough here and it's more common than you think. If the bedroom is big enough, a little space can be partitioned for the baby, or sometimes parents will give up the bedroom altogether and camp out in the livingroom. Here's a product from Molo that might help divide the space to give you and your baby a little more privacy.

What I like about the Molo Soft Wall is that it's free standing and filters light (400 layers of honeycombed paper!), which is really important when dividing a space that might result in a windowless partition (you can always add the Window Light). If you're a renter and can't put up permanent walls but want something more substantial than a 3 panel folding screen room divider, then this might be an interesting solution, especially since you can shape it to fit any configuration you need. It's not meant to be leaned on, which is not exactly great for active babies, but I imagine that you can make it more stable by "bookending" pieces of furniture on either side. Folding screens aren't necessarily better for babies, by the way. I know because I used to live in a studio and my cat toppled ours more than a few times, which always made my heart jump.

The Molo Soft Wall comes in 2 heights - 4 feet and 6 feet, is 12 inches thick, and can expand anywhere from 8-20 feet. Pretty cool.

You can get the 4ft wall at Velocity Art and Design. Contact Molo to inquire about the 6ft walls.

Even I found the Molo wall great, wrote about that some time back.
Nice idea to create cosy spaces for those kids...isn't?

No need to contact Molo for info about the 6' wall: http://www.velocityartanddesign.com/molo_sw78.html
