It's about time parents have a 3rd option in diapering other than disposable or cloth. In theory, gDiapers is a great idea - a liner that flushes - while leaving the breathable, natural fiber 'g' pants intact. The flushables keep your baby dry as they are super absorbant and made of something called tree farmed fluff pulp. I admit I am horrified at the amount of diapers that we've gone through over the past 2 years, but also admit that I'm not so horrified that it's inspired me to use cloth diapers. And while I do have that fear of flushing extra "things" down the toilet for fear of clogging and overflowing, the gDiaper inventors make some strong, convincing points.
There's too much info to relay here so you should just go visit the website yourself. It's very informative, easy to navigate and very nicely designed in a way that makes you want to say "sign me up!". Kudos to the founders for making the 'g' pants attractive and cute, which I think is rather critical in trying to sell the new diaper system.
I'll be very curious to see if the gDiapers catch on. It'll get some getting used to as there are a few extra steps, but it seems like it could quickly become 2nd nature and it's so much better for the environment.
