Oreka Kids

There are a lot of modern furniture for kids out there, but this simple, very attractive folding table really caught my eye. I love how the handle and the notches on the legs mirror each other in shape and how it becomes a portable surface that you can use anywhere. We have a kid's table and chair set in our home and it does get used a lot, but so much of my toddler's play time is done on the floor.

The table, called Oreo, is part of a line of furniture from Oreka Kids called Biscuit. The idea was to name each of the 9 pieces after various biscuits and cookies. The designers also wanted to create pieces that would last past childhood so that the pieces could be used around the house in various ways.

Another piece that I like is called the Hobnob, a bench with a detachable table top for storing toys and other things. The designs are so clean and appealing that I can definitely see holding on to these long after my toddler outgrows them.
