TV not so bad after all

A recent NY Times article reports that new studies conducted by the University of Chicago showed "very little difference and if anything, a slight positive advantage" in test scores for children who watched TV early on compared to those who did not. This test is purely on academic effects and not behavioral so obviously you shouldn't start showing your kids the Terminator movies or the CSI series.

I use common sense and limit TV for my just turned 2 year old toddler to no more than 4-5 times a week, and a half an hour to an hour a day, so why do I still feel guilty for turning it on? Is it the peer pressure from other mom friends whose kids don't watch TV? Did that AAP recommendation of no TV for kids under 2 get under my skin? It's so annoying!!
