Amby Baby Hammock

amby_hammock.jpg

We never had a baby swing (just one more thing to fit inside of a NYC apartment), but to some parents, the swing is an indispensible piece of gear in terms of aiding babies to sleep. The Amby Baby Hammock moves like a swing, but is designed as a safe alternative to the crib for colicky, reflux babies. With an adjustable recline that's greater than most swings but still elevated to provide comfort to babies with reflux, the Hammock creates a soothing, womblike environment that's portable to any room and travels well. I can see the appeal. The crib can be a big, cold place to sleep when you're a newborn.

If I had known about this when I had my baby, I totally would have gotten it. It's fabulous. I put my dd in one that a friend had and she LOVED it.
