Rosenthal Spoon and Pusher

420ROSspoonPusherm.jpg

My mother had a fit one day when she saw my 11 month old son eating off the highchair tray. "Where is his plate and fork?" she demanded.

I thought about trying to educate her on my homegrown concept of washing only one item instead of three, especially when two of the items (plate and fork) just got in the way of his meal. I would have been more inclined to give him utensils if I'd seen the Rosenthal Spoon and Pusher. The round handled spoon which is easy to grab and the rake-like pusher which helps a child learn how to maneuver a fork (without the frustration) are both intuitively designed for a child's specific needs. $45 for the set at Kido.

I still would have let him eat off the tray.
