Trunki

magamatic_trunki_kids.jpg

Trunki is a new rideable luggage system that lets kids pull, ride and play with the durable, hard plastic suitcase while travelling. Fill Trunki with games, toys and other travel distractions and use as a carry on bag at the airport. Designer Rob Law wanted to utilize the wasted space found on ride on toys and created a toy that would also function as luggage for kids. I have to admit, it's a pretty cool idea, but I wonder how long my toddler would last without a safety belt of sorts - not because I think she would fall off (Trunki was designed to be stable enough to prevent kids from falling off) but because she tends to not ride on toys for very long (including the Kettler Trike that we just spent $150 on, argh!). But between the pulling activity and riding capabilities, it's a pretty clever travel bag that might keep your kids occupied at airports. And when they get tired of Trunki, you can just throw it over your shoulder with a shoulder strap.
