Parker Activity Table

I love Design Within Reach's philosophy for children's furniture. Some days it seems as though there's a scarcity of intelligent, modern furniture to choose from. Because of this demand for more sophisticated options, the folks at DWR are currently working with designers who are motivated to get out and create fresh, imaginative pieces that parents are looking for.
The Parker Activity Table is one example of this sort of thinking. The four partners of New York's ducduc were inspired by artist Donald Judd when creating this children's activity center. This good looking, multi-function table is at a great height for trains, cars, tea parties, whatever.

There's an attachable roll of paper that converts the entire top into a full-sized drawing area. Another thing I really like is the oversized, easy-open side drawer which allows for a quick clean sweep of toys directly into the bin. The Parker Activity Table is made from sustainable birch hardwood and birch veneers.
