Puzzle floor covering

Here's a cool modular rug that would add style to a kid's room and be fun to assemble with him/her pitching in. Each set comes with six interchangeable pieces that can be added on to whenever you and/or your kid decide to redecorate and make the rug bigger. I can see my kids take it apart and put it together obsessively (which would drive me crazy), but I really like the concept, perfectly suited for their spaces. For now, the rug comes in light grey, charcoal and sand which, yes, limits decorating ideas for kids, but I welcome a muted palette and, besides, a floor covering with a mix of these shades is not only beautiful, but serene. The charcoal would hide stains, too. Who said everything needs to be in technicolor anyway?

There's plenty of brightly-colored foam floor tile-puzzle options, in alphabet and number and animal versions. It's nice to see an alternative.
