The Stokke Kinderzeat is now the Tripp Trapp

Ok, so let me get this straight. Stokke renames their Kinderzeat the Tripp Trapp chair since it now has a 5 point harness system rather than the 3 point and they come out with a plastic Baby Rail to now accommodate babies as young as 6 months (provided that they can sit unassisted). That's great, since we love the Kinderzeat and up til now, was recommended for toddlers about 18 months and up. But what's this? The Baby Rail will ONLY fit the new Kinderzeat, uh, Tripp Trapp chair, and not the old versions? Why, why, why? Especially since our Kinderzeat is only 6 months old. I was looking forward to maybe using our Kinderzeat with the new baby instead of hauling out the big old frilly Fisher Price high chair when the time came for baby #2. So am I annoyed? Yes!!!

Here in Norway, where the chair comes from, it has always been called Tripp Trapp. I guess the name change in the US has to do with branding.
I can see why the baby rail thing would be annoying though.

Hmmm...interesting. Yes, all about re-branding. I don't really see anything else that's different other than the seat belt harness

Use one of these silly harnesses and attach it with some more webbing and industrial strength snaps to keep the kid upright in the chair: http://www.safebeginnings.com/WebComponents/Catalog/Public/showproduct.asp?frg=FRG&id=84
