Lincoln Logs commemorative edition

4275.jpg

Lincoln Logs were my absolute favorite building block toy when I was a kid. I far preferred it to Legos or anything else and I hadn't really thought about them until they appeared in my toddler's class. They felt a lot smoother than my original set, to the point where I questioned whether they were still made out of wood, but they still are very much like the originals and still a hell of a lot of fun to build with. This commemorative edition comes in a keepsake tin and are stained in the original classic colors. I had no idea that they've been around since 1916 and that they were designed by Flank Lloyd Wright's son.

You can buy them at Back to Basic Toys.
