Talkin' Sipster

talking_sipster.jpg

Does every single piece of baby gear and toy have to make sounds these days? Playtex has come out with a Talkin' Sipster sippy cup that talks and makes sounds when you touch certain graphics on the cup. If you think about it, however, the potential for constant "mooing" and "baahing" is pretty high since your toddler's hands are all over the cups when they're holding and drinking, (though there is an off button at the bottom). And we're not talking gentle cooing sounds coming from baby animals either - the voice and sounds are pretty grating - all for the sake of "education." I'm all for learning and all that, but I don't need another distraction during mealtime when my toddler uses her cups and utensils as "people" and march them around the table when she's had enough of dinner (and lunch and breakfast). The sad thing, however? She would LOVE this.

Ok, there is no way I could buy this. I would lob this cup out the window onto the highway!
