Kimono Wrap

satchikimonowrap.jpg

Fall’s around the corner and this top from Sophie and Lili will be on my “to buy” list for my five year old. It’s called the Kimono Wrap and when I showed her a picture of it online she pretended to faint and then, composed, said “what a cool karate shirt”. Perfect. Since she’s so gung ho about her Tae Kwon Do but seriously does complain about the plainness of her ninja-style outfit, this seems like a nice thing to get for her- unique, girly, stylish and unexpected but oddly familiar. And who doesn’t appreciate a piece of clothing that, well, wraps. So easy. The Kimono Wrap comes with a pink sash and a modern, circular flower on the back. Check out Sophie and Lili for more inspired, cool clothes for girls. I love the fact that they add a pocket to their tops (not the Kimono Wrap, however), so that girls can store beads, rocks and string, the usual treasures girls keep tucked into pockets. Very appropriate and right on.
