Le Toy Van Doll House Kitchen

98_1_b.JPG.jpg

I suspect that we'll be getting a doll house for the toddler at Christmas or her birthday next year and I'm a bit afraid because I know I'll get carried away collecting furniture and decorating the place up. Case in point: a friend of mine just got her old dollhouse from her mom's house to give to her toddler and she's on ebay bidding on mini floor tiles to renovate the house. When you live in NYC, you find any way to live out your redecorating and renovation fantasies, plus creating dioramas was my absolute favorite thing to do when I was a kid so it comes as no surprise that I've been casually looking on ebay myself for stuff.

I came across this modern wooden kitchen from Le Toy Van on ebay for $25 bucks (I have no idea whether or not that's a decent price by the way, as I'm still living in my fantasy land and ignoring prices of doll house furnishings for now). It's modern I guess because the appliances are supposed to be stainless steel, but it's still charming and colorful with the addition of the single fruit paintings that come included in the set.

For more inspiration, check out the full line of le Toy Van dollhouses and accessories. The houses are very pastel country cottage, but something about it is very sweet and appealing. Damn...I can tell it's going to take me a long time to settle on the right dollhouse. My generally minimalist, contemporary tastes are going to clash with these very cute, but girly models.
