The Blankee Company

If you're looking for that one special keepsake blanket as a gift or a splurge for your own little one, look no further than the Blankee Company. The photos do no justice and these blankets have to be felt to be fully appreciated. They're unbelievably soft and substantial with embossed material on one side and luxurious chamois suede on the other. The edges are finished off with a heavy satin border. I'm usually attracted to designs that are more quirky and contemporary, but sometimes a classic look for certain objects is, well...nice. I received my blanket in a white box wrapped with a wide satin ribbon and since I'm a sucker for nice packaging and presentation, this made me happy. The blankets are 29 inches square - they're not exactly swaddling or receiving blankets - they're too thick and substantial for that, but perfect to throw over the car seat on chilly days or to lay your baby down for tummy time or play.
