Wooden Camera

wood_camera.jpg

Toddlers are so fascinated by tech gadgets that I always assume they'd scoff at the idea of something like this wooden camera because of the lack of blinking lights, LCD screen and a million buttons to push. But last week my toddler found one of those cheapy disposable kodak cameras laying around the house - pretty much as low tech as you can get - and had a blast with it. So I wonder if I sometimes underestimate their imagination just because we're so used to everything requiring a battery.

This sturdy wooden camera might have just enough interactivity (push the shutter, advance the film, focus the lens) to satisfy your kids, but just might give your ears and eyes a rest from all the other noisy toys out there. A quiet toy? Heaven...

They need to make a wooden digital or point and shoot. I think only kids of relatively serious photographers would know how to play with this.
