They Might Be Giants, Here Come the ABCs

We already own No! by They Might Be Giants so we were thrilled when Grandma sent us Here Come the ABCs the other week. The toddler LOVES this CD and asks to have it on at least 2-3 times a day. The best part? Whie it's playing, she'll sit quietly on her bed for the full duration of the CD and just listen. It's a little odd how attentive and quiet she is, but I'm not complaining - buys me some time to get stuff done.
The CD, in usual They Might Be GIants fashion, is full of catchy, quirky, funny songs all revolving around the alphabet. I'm personally not a fan of Laurie Berkner or Dan Zanes (not that it really matters since the music is, you know, for the kids) so I haven't quite gotten to the point of getting their music for the toddler, but maybe since I have some nostalgic 80s attachment to They Might Be Giants, I don't mind that this CD is on multiple times per day.

Nostalgic 80s attachment? Wow, I've been listening to them for 15 years at least. They've had a bunch of good cds and songs since too. I love that they have started children's cds right as I have kids, as if they're growing with me!

This CD rocks! We got it shortly after it was released last year and my toddler just loves it! Plus, while I agree it is easy listening for a parent, I have also been able to pop Triangle Man and he now thinks that is fun too!

This is the best DVD we own. The music is fun, and no where near as annoying as the Baby Einstein music. The only bad thing is that you can't get the songs out of your head.

We have the DVD, my toddler love it! The animation is hilarious and I don't mind that the songs stick in my head.
