Argington Fuji Toybox in the house

After nearly 2 months, we finally got our Argington Fuji Toybox delivered yesterday. I know what you're thinking, "how can you spend 400 bucks on a toy box??". I know I know, it's definitely a splurge that we had to save for, and it was bought on sale with free shipping, but yes...I know. I agonized over buying this toy chest for months and months when I first fell in love with it awhile back, and I felt like that guy in the commercial who paces in front of his computer before hitting the button on the screen (what was that for, ebay? Priceline?). Part giddy excitement, part guilt, but it's done and it's here...and so, was it worth it? Yes! Yes!!
The toy box is beautiful and a substantial, sturdy piece of furniture that I would keep around to store other things once the need for toy storage is long gone. You can store blankets and quilts, make it a bench in the foyer (am I rationalizing? um, yeah). But seriously, I'm impressed with the little details such as the attractive castor wheels and the slow closing lid. The lid will stay open when lifted, and when lowered to close, will ever so slowly and gracefully flutter down, making it safe for little fingers. I'd never seen anything like it, so it was a nice surprise.
So does the toddler like it? Well, that's another story. She seems a little resistent to having her toys cooped up in there. They used to be all out in the open on the changing table shelves which we used for toy storage, but that's been moved to the baby's room now. So lots of changes for her...but she'll come around.
