LEANDER Cradle

This beautiful cradle isn’t new to the design world, but I realize that, A) first-time moms may have missed the press when it came out (when their minds were most likely on other things); and B) “veteran” moms may appreciate a refresher. So sometimes I like to revisit some of the best.
The Leander Cradle from Denmark is certainly one of them. Talk about sleeping like an angel! With its all-natural, gently swaying, snug cradle and gossamer fabric canopy, it’s as if baby is sleeping on a heavenly cloud. I mean, if you have to leave the womb, this may ease the transition.
The cradle can be suspended from either a ceiling hook (ack!) or, tripod stand (seems a little more secure to me – but also costs more). The bassinet and bedding are made from 100% organic cotton and are asthma and allergy free.
US retailers seem to have yet to import Leander cradles, but I did find a UK site, bumpto3, that will ship it for a pretty penny.

Leander also makes this groovy "cot" that, typical of Danish design multi-functionality, converts from a crib to a toddler bed.
