Fiat's Sedici, a car for urban moms

Fiat, in collaboration with Suzuki, has come out with a new car called Sedici and billed as its first compact SUV (What of the Panda? I've always been keen on their Panda). The reason why I'm writing about it here is that the October issue of W magazine wrote a blurb on it and presented the Sedici as THE car for urban moms eager to get on with their glamorously busy lifestyles (yeah, right...) after the early-morning school drop off. But I have to admit, I can see moms living in cities with teeny streets (London, Rome..) really pining for this little gem. W highlights the Sedici's roomy backseat as perfect for storing the Phil and Ted's stroller along with other gear necessary when one has kids and points out what is sure to become its most coveted feature: a live telephone connection to a service center that books dinner reservations, airplane tickets and keeps diary appointments organized. Dreamy? Yes. Maybe Fiat should take a cue from W and advertise this car as the one to solve the transportation issues of city moms and see it literally fly out of Europe's showrooms. The Sedici, sadly, is not available in the States. For now, I guess.
At Fiat.
