UV Monitor - Maximize Fun in the Sun

As winter approaches, it may seem a little unseasonable for this post. But I thought all you snow birding and resort moms, not to mention those of you in southern climes (lucky ducks!), might appreciate this post. Plus it’s always good to get a head start on summer. Last year, I tried to buy the cool solar sensor wristbands reviewed on babygadget; only to find out they were already sold out for the season!
This past summer was my baby’s first in sun. Going to the beach is usually a relaxing experience, but I was a nervous wreck every time we went out. I constantly, carefully scanned his lily-white skin for any sign of pink. If anything, I over applied. Now slathering sunscreen on yourself is admittedly no fun. But applying it to a baby? Ha! I had to sing a song: “In order to go to the beeeeeach, we must put the sunscreen on!” My family thought I’d lost it. So any device that minimizes the anxiety and maximizes time between applications is something I’m going to run right out and buy.
Ok, enough of my tales of woe, onto the product! With this cute, little, battery powered monitor, you simply input your child’s skin type and the SPF of the sunscreen you’re using. The monitor then calculates the time until the next slathering. It even has a little alarm to let you know when that is, so you can relax (yeh, right!), at least a little bit more. Come to think of it, I’m getting one for my husband too!
