Feeding in public...the Mamaway

mamaway.jpg

Like many mothers, I got rather passionate about the breastfeeding issue once I'd had a kid of my own. Oftentimes, conversation between us new mums would turn to how hard it can be to feed in public and how awkward we felt trying to do so discreetly. Yeah! We were going to change the world... and then we got too busy.

Mother-of-two Deborah (just Deborah, by the looks of the site) is obviously a can-do type. When she found that feeding could be embarrassing, she created a whole range of clothing to tackle the issue.

With a byline of '"nursing in comfort, discretion and style," the Mamaway clothes feature a special double-layer that apparently prevents that everything on display feeling. What I liked best was that there's nothing frumpy: in fact, I'd happily choose to wear many of these styles whether I was nursing or not.

As a long-time nursing mama, I also wanted to add Motherwear as a similar source for tops (and forgiving bottoms).
