Kindervan: Kinda cute

kindervan.jpg

I'm getting a bit obsessed with mass transit options for toddlers: heaven knows why, given that we'll almost certainly stop at the one child. Maybe it's just a glimpse into what might have been.

Anyway, hot on the heels of my post on the Motherbike, I'd now like to show you... the Kindervan. Go on, click on the 'demo' link on that page: it's a lot of fun hovering your mouse over the various components of this beauty, and seeing them in action. For example - each seat swivels, so that the kids can be truly sociable.

Of course, it's designed for nurseries and kindergartens, so that batches of kids can be taken out en masse. I've never seen one used in our area: they tend to use double buggies, and I'm sure that suits their needs perfectly. On the other hand, this would be a wonderful conversation piece, and really get the nursery known in the local area.

Personally, I love it... just not enough to revise our plans to upwards of four kids.

The KinderVan is a wonderful buggy for infants and young toddlers. We love option to turn and recline the seats. However, one problem.....the wheels only go straight!! To turn a corner, you need to push down on the handle bar to lift the front wheels. Too bad they did not put casters on for front wheels.
