Swiss Tool Bench

WH706420.jpg

When I was in middle school (5th-8th grade) I never missed a day of school when we had shop. (Not shopping! Wood and metal shop.) Not one day. I loved it that much. Using a jig saw and a drill press was totally cool. But nothing beat the sand blaster – awesome!

Now let me just state, that I am what many would describe as a "girly, girly.” I like pretty things like flowers and I used to hand make all my school Valentines. But I do not think that an interest in construction is in any way contrary to this and I really wish someone had taken more time than those few years in shop, to nurture a love of and comfort with tools.

Which is my long way of saying, if you have a little girl, get her this fabulous work bench. It has everything your budding Roberta the Builder will need: screws, nuts, nails and hammer. (But no sand blaster!)

If you have a little boy, get it as well. But you may also want to get him a kitchen set.
