Furniture that grows with you: the E Changing Table

There is something to be said for baby furniture that grows with you. I love the E changing table by miguel; it has a great design and an impressive collection of options when it comes to wood or color schemes. I like the configuration pictured on the site, but the other choices are all compelling as well. There are a lot of nice little touches like the "soft close" glides on the drawer that guard against pinches or little arms getting caught in the drawer.

The best thing about this table is the fact that the top converts into a flat surface when you no longer need to use it as a changing table. This is a very attractive piece of furniture in its own right, but I wouldn't mind using it as a table and storage once the baby gets a bit older. With a price tag of $2,800 I wouldn't feel comfortable buying something like this unless I knew I would have it for a long, long time, and as long as you coordinate the colors with both the nursery and the rest of your house there is no reason it can't grow up with you.
