Yoodo Frame Builders Kit

YDIR.jpg

My one-year-old has only just figured out how to place one block on top of another. So while I think this is a major accomplishment, I realize that he's a long way off from playing with the Yoodo Frame Builders Kit by Scott Klinker. But as former, avid fort-builder myself, I can anticipate all the fun he will have in the future, with something like this.

Many things about the Yoodo Kit are selling points for me. First, unlike most playhouses that are already assembled, your child doesn't just play in it, he (or she) has to dream up, design and build his structure. And sky's the limit on what that could be. One day he can create a rocket, the next, a house. And I can totally see parents getting in on the building process. Second, the pieces lie flat for easy storage when it's not in use. And finally, because it's made of sturdy cardboard, after your children and their friends have eked every inch of enjoyment out of it, you can simply recycle it. At just $50, I think it's a bargain for all imaginative fun your children could have.
