The Haba Limited Edition Nativity Scene may be your next favorite tradition

nativity.jpg

Jess loves Nativity sets, so when we were looking for a new one this year we went straight to Haba, and we weren't disappointed. The Haba Limited Edition Nativity Scene is an 18 piece Nativity scene made out of beechwood and has a very pretty and understated design. We love that this set allows the kids to set the scene up themselves and interact with the story of Christmas in a very direct way. It's bound to be one of those holiday items the children will be excited to see every year.

When looking for a modern Nativity set for my home last year, I kept running into sets covered with gold foil. I did see the HABA one and it gave me a pause.

Then in a Munich toystore, I found this amazing wooden thirteen-piece set by Ostheimer.

It's not cheap by anymeans—especially if you want to get the three kings to go along with it. But, when it comes to a cool—not overly foiled—and kid-friendly Nativity set this is also a nice alternative to the Haba one.
