The Lightrees are a classy alternative to a Christmas tree

It's Christmas time again, and I love taking the kids out so we can look at all the Christmas lights on houses and trees. Especially these days with those huge inflatable snow globes and light-up snowmen, it seems everyone has a huge display, but it's hard to find something that's modern, but still keeps some of the iconography of Christmas.

I love the Lightrees by Le Censi. They come in a variety of colors and three sizes, and they are large, simple, and classic. Since we prefer white lights to the colored lights in our holiday decorations, I think the plain white tree would look great in our living room. If you don't mind dumping a lot of money into the project, you can also get multiple sizes and make a display using many different colors. I think these are great, and are a very striking alternative to the traditional tree.
