The Rocking Cube

rocking_cube_1.jpg

Jessica Nebel's Rocking Cube has got to be the coolest looking rocking chair I've seen. The cube is all about pure form with the seat originating from "the gesture of pushing the material through the body of the object". I love the wood veneer on the underside that gives the chair a bit of warmth while contrasting with the stark white, and dare I say it, but I think it would look great in our living room even though the room isn't particularly all that modern. There's no sale info about the cube which makes me think it's a prototype...for now.
