When your playhouse could actually BE your house, you may have overspent

It's a telling sign when a website proudly exclaims the following about one of their items: "$1500 off!" I have never seen anyone tell me "these are out of your price range!" so quickly and efficiently. These Homeplace Structures are amazing, but you should be scared when they tell you they start at $1,800. They get much, much more expensive from there.

So what kind of play house would you like? A cozy Cape Cod? A Cheshire Manor? Or maybe a standard Victorian is more your style. I have nothing against spending a lot for quality toys, and my Ivy does love to play house, but I'm not about to buy her something that she can play house in that's bigger than our apartment. While these look great, I think there should be a difference between playing house and what amounts to actually buying your children their own place. These are bigger than my place in college and that depresses me.
