Ant blocks

Blocks seem to be evolving from the standard, albeit very classic, alphabet letters and numbers. One recent Babyg post featured sign language blocks and blocks using letters in foreign language alphabets. And now, check out these ant blocks! I happen to love them not only for the memories they conjure, although it’s so fun to recall my brother and me staring at ants, their trails, their industry, their apparent super duper strength for hours and up close. The Ant Blocks, stocked by Romp, are ingeniously designed and feature ant hills, a queen with her eggs and an ant’s perennial arch enemy, the spider. Kids will love making a myriad of patterns with the sixteen blocks and I personally appreciate the black ants on light wood design. I'm loving the simple, two-toned contrast and the purity of the idea behind the blocks. Positive my kids need a set of these.
