Dado Cubes

1.jpg

Dado Cubes are a set of 10 multi-colored cubes that can be nested, stacked, and constructed into architectural creations. They invite spatial exploration and creativity, and present an added twist on the old building blocks with slots on 4 sides. The cubes look like they can grow with your child - from developing the earliest nesting and stacking skills, to building more sophisticated structures using the slots as they become older. The blocks seem simple enough, but judging from these images, can be built into pretty complex constructions. And it's always a good sign when you get the itch to play with a toy yourself.

I love these! My 2 1/2 yr old son recieved them as a Christmas present. They are amazingly fun for ME to play with, and I never feel the need to "pick up" this toy. It always looks like a nice piece of sculpture, in almost any configuration.

They certainly are interesting, but $25 for 10 blocks? Seems a little pricey to me...
