Modern Dollhouse - design options are open-ended

When I was little I simply loved, loved, loved my dollhouses. (That plural "s" is not a typo. I had several. That's how much I loved them.) For me dollhouses were not an outlet for family play. They were, instead, an opportunity for interior design. I made my own furniture and crafted fine meals out of Feemo. I put up wall paper, I lay real tile in the bathroom floor. I did this well into my teens. So if you think you might have a decorating enthusiast on your hands, and you want to make sure she/he gets a head start on contemporary style, you may want to invest in this modern, mini abode.
Constructed from gracefully modeled plywood, this futureistic home's two levels are open on both sides, allowing for easy access to the interior. The colorful panels slide, and the freestanding staircase can be moved, so your child can exercise greater creative control over the design and flow from room to room. Though at $215, it's not inexpensive, it's not too bad when you consider that this price includes dolls (in multi-ethnic options) as well as funky furnishings. But you may want to put the later aside to encourage even greater design freedom and creative expression.
If you like this one, be sure to check out Moderntots other contemporary dollhouses as well.
