Moziblox

Moziblox

Here at Babygadget, we pride ourselves on bringing you the very latest products. Why, then, am I writing about a toy that is (just about) older than I am? Moziblox were invented in 1965 by architect John Stegmann, and went on to win the Shell Prize for industrial design in 1970. But they are effectively new to many markets because, until recently, the complex design - each block is different - has meant that they were very expensive to produce.

Now new production techniques brings them into a more reasonable price range, and UK baby shops are beginning to promote them for their educational and appealing qualities. The geometric shapes and high contrast make them attractive to very young babies, while there are 'zillions' of patterns and pictures for older children to make.
