The Sweet Pea Snuggle Pod

So we're sitting in the theater seeing Charlotte's Web. The kids are having a good time and are behaving. At the end, Charlotte passes and then all the little baby spiders fly away. A few stay to be Wilbur's friend. Overall, it's kind of a downer ending. My partner Jess sighs and I ask her what's wrong.
"You know how we want to have another kid at some point? And how the kids know this?" I nod. No surprises here.
"It's now going to take some effort to convince them I'm not going to die after I give birth."
Sometimes the kids get odd ideas stuck in their heads when they see movies, and I didn't even think about it before I bought the tickets. I thought the Sweet Pea Snuggle Pod was cute, until I remembered that story. Now images arise of trying to explain the reproductive process to the kids, and how it doesn't involve vegetables. Not usually, at least.
Still, it is cute. The pea pod gives the baby doll a nice place to sleep, and it looks all soft and cuddly. I'm sure I'll be able to explain how babies don't come from gardens. Or maybe I'll just let that one slide for a few days.
