Mail call! It's never too early to get kids started on writing letters

mailbox.jpg

Both Luke and Ivy are big fans of mail. Whenever they get a letter with their names on it they go a little crazy and they love opening junk mail and pretending to write their own letters. We decided to take this idea and run with it by getting Ivy the Mailbox and Mail Set for her birthday. The mailbox is wooden and comes with its own wooden postcards with velcro stamps, and she's able to pretend she's running her very own little post office. Every now and again we'll drop a letter for her in it and she's able to unlock it herself and see what the "mail man" brought. The locking mechanism is a little on the fragile side so you may want to help little hands open the mailbox, but other than that we've had no complaints. A great time is had by all.
