The Shoji Sofa. I'm not sure I want my son to swing yet...

I have to say I enjoy looking at children's furniture. There's something so fun about well-designed furniture that is simply shrunken down to kid size. When Jess showed me the Shoji Sofa I just didn't get why she was so excited about it. It was classy, sure, but that's it. Why would this be something I wanted to write about?

But then she showed me the picture I've thoughtfully included above. How great is that? If I was trying to put together a bachelor's pad from the '70s this set of furniture would be something I'd consider, but this is, of course, 2007 and this collection is for kids; I'd have to install a disco ball into the playroom to complete the look.

I find the whole thing unspeakably awesome. I'd have problems if my kids had furniture that was hipper than my own sofa, but boy is that cool.
