Geenius: set up by mums

If you could only harness the power of the discontent mother, you could probably dismantle the National Grid. How many times have I begun a post with a phrase like 'this company was created when a mother looked around and found she didn't like the products available on the market'? It takes an awful lot of energy to both deal with a new baby and set up a new company, but that's what mothers seem to be doing left, right and centre.

And here's another. Dutch company Geenius has a simple motto: "Surely that could be better?". All materials are natural - to aid cleaning and washing - and you only have to look at their product range to see that they have a keen eye for design.

This apron dress (above) caught my eye, but all their clothes are equally adorable; the dress-up dolls are also worth a look.
