Kalea Baby Carrier Fashion

Wow! Though, we really got a lot of use out of our Baby Bjorn, I'm starting to regret it. Because these carriers from Kalea Baby are really something special. The Angelpack above comes in a plethora of groovy fabrics that founder, Crystal, continually updates. They also feature generously padded straps and even a sleep hood. (Whaa? Well, it sounds useful.) Unlike some other infant totes, these can be worn front or back and will carry your child well into toddlerhood, up to 35 lbs. (Seriously Ladies, is there anyone out there still comfortably carrying their 30 lb tot? I really want to know cause my back is killing me!) If you're more into slings, Kalea has some gorgeous ones of those as well.

I still use my Sachi mei tai (http://www.sachicarriers.com/) to carry both my 28lb toddler and, on occasion, my nearly 50 lb 5yo. I think of it as preparing me for backpacking.

Great post!
I just want to say that this carrier is totally diffrent from the babybjorn, much better for both parent and child.
Look how the legs of the child is placed compared to the babybjorn. This is the key, all carrier should have the child placed like this since it is better for the childs back and for the parents.
I have a carrier simular to this (Patapum) and I carry my toddler (28lb,12kg) every day. And it doesnt bother me at all
The babybjorn may look good but it is not good for anyone.

I agree. It's unfortunate that the Bjorn gets so much attention. It has such a short life-span compared to other options and it's not good for a baby's back or hips (not to mention mom and dad's back!). Even though it's widely available in Babies 'R Us and Wal*Mart, before you buy a Bjorn, take a moment to research online and see the various other options that are available!
