Kits Diezijn: toys you may remember

Kits Diezijn

I have happy memories of the toys of my own childhood, from the thick wooden jigsaws to the heavy metal tricycle. It seems to me that there was hardly a piece of plastic in sight, although I suppose there must have been; we're only talking the Seventies, for heaven's sake.

Anyway, I'll always snap up a box of building blocks or a pull-along doggy from a charity shop or boot sale if it looks genuinely vintage. I like to see my daughter play with toys that have some history, and which, perhaps, are just like those I remember playing with myself.

Imagine my surprise, then, to find Dutch site Kits Diezijn selling items which could have come straight from my grandmother's toy cupboard. These wobbly dolls [above] are a prime example - it's like rediscovering a long-lost memory. Why not have a browse and see what comes back to you?
