Yellow Pages Booster

BOST-5236.jpg

We just inherited an 11 year old Pali highchair that doesn't have safety straps or the in between leg piece that prevents the baby from falling. It looks great in the apartment, but it certainly isn't as safe or convenient as the newer plastic high chairs so we wouldn't have been able to use it for the baby for quite a while. My solution is wedging the Bumbo seat in there, which works really great (I'm actually really proud of this McGuyver moment). This Yellow Pages Booster Seat is pretty damn funny and would have also done the trick with a set of safety straps that I intend to buy.

Since the Yellow Pages are pretty much a relic of the past (though I think I have one laying around - they still make and deliver them), this is a clever nod to the tricks our parents resorted to when all this baby gear wasn't around (and we survived, didn't we?), except these are washable, lightweight and probably a hell of a lot more comfortable.

Thanks Nita for the tip.
