Floorplay from I Am Samantha

Before I had kids, I used to cringe when my Manhattan mom friends inevitably replaced their living room rugs with those bright, abc/123, puzzle tiles. You know the ones I mean. But now that I have a toddler, I totally get those cushy squares. Still, for those of us who can't afford a separate playroom, a sexier alternative would be nice.

Enter Floorplay and Floorscape by designer Samantha Parsons of I Am Samantha. Comprised of squares (Floorplay) or triangles (Floorscape), as well as creases, and slits, these pads can be folded into innumerable forms to create headrests, cubes, tunnels, forts and more. Or they can simply lie flat. Made of upholstered felt on one side and durable PVC on the other, Floorplay is equally at home indoors or out. These versatile mats also fold up into a compact cube for easy storage and transport. Truly interactive, 3D flooring that's fun for the whole family. And because each comes in two different colors front and back, you can choose bright or more subdued colors to match any décor or mood.
