Porcupine Desk from Vitra

Panton Junior Chair has a friend. Expanding on the success of their popular child's seat, Vitra unveiled a companion play table by Hella Jongerius. Grace from design*sponge told me to be on the look out for this fabulous new item which she spotted at the recent Milan Design Show. I see that Susanne at Kidsmodern was also hot on the trail and snapped this great pict. Besides sporting funky design all around, the table includes several kid-pleasing features, including a side storage shelf and hidden drawer, as well as top-side holes in which little fingers can insert crayons, paint brushes, or any other skinny items. And thus the name was born. No information on distribution yet, but we'll keep you posted.
