The Urban Alphabet by the Big Tomato Company

bigtomatomugs.JPG

I love this range from Big Tomato Company, and I think any of you who are print aficionados will, too. As you can see, the alphabet is illustrated with modern-day objects like a CCTV camera, pylon and angle-poise lamp (and why not? There's no escaping that these are the things our children are surrounded by). If you are unnerved by such iconography, don't worry - they are interspersed with some slightly more traditional childhood imagery of things like jelly and kites.

In my opinion, these work best when seen together, which is what makes the poster such a success. Although I do quite fancy the idea of buying 26 mugs, and always being prepared no matter who dropped in for a cuppa.
