Eeny Meanie (Miny Moe), catch some color for your kid's clothes

When I was little, it was the age of Marimekko - colorful, bold patterns that perfectly captured a child's joie de vie. Then something happened. A great shadow fell across the land of children's fashion and everything went pastel.* Fortunately, many are now fighting back the darkness with a little imagination and a whole lot of flare.

Case in point, the daring creations of Eeny Meanie. Likewise bored with more mundane offerings, California Mom, Denise Love, picked up needle and thread to create her own line of kids clothing. Once again bright and beautiful, each piece features surprising color combinations and unusual details that perfectly capture the ideal of retro-chic. Every item is created by Denise, by hand, for custom garments that are "as unique and creative as the child who wears" them. Thank you, Denise, for helping to bring back bold.

* (Don't get me wrong, a little well-placed pastel is fine. But for a while there, it was relentless.)
